Several change initiatives are currently underway at DND/CF to ensure that the Department and the Canadian Forces have the proper resources for today and are prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Reservists at work

The Directorate of Reserves (D Res) is responsible to the Chief of Reserves and Cadets (C Res and Cdts) through the Director General Reserves and Cadets (DGRC) to gather and analyse information on Primary Reserve matters in order to enable C Res and Cdts to serve as an effective advisor to the CDS. D Res is also responsible to DGRC for advising on the development and implementation of reserve policy and provides assistance to commands and NDHQ's divisions and directorates on matters affecting the reserve component of the CF.
